Buildings that hold the light.

NORR ATELIER is a Copenhagen practice designing quiet, enduring buildings for a changing climate — from Mediterranean houses to Nordic civic rooms.

The practice

We design with restraint, and build for time.

Every commission begins with the same question: what does this place ask of us? The angle of winter sun, the prevailing wind, the stone underfoot, the way a family actually lives — these are our first drawings.

We are nine architects, interior designers and researchers working between Copenhagen, Milan and London. Our work spans private houses, workplaces, cultural buildings and the public realm, always with an emphasis on material honesty and long life.

Recent commissions

Six buildings from the last five years — a house carved into Mallorcan rock, a workplace around a planted court, a pavilion that borrows the weather of the fjord.

The studio

Nine people. Three cities. One way of seeing.

We are deliberately small. Every project is led by a partner and shaped by the same group of hands — from the first site walk to the last coat of lime wash.

The partners

Three partners, one conversation.

Jonas, Elena and Amara lead the practice together. Each brings a different lens — structure, material, city — and every project passes through all three.
